Royal Ramblas - Barcelona

Great hotel in fabulous central location. Right in the centre if everything - perfect. We upgraded to a Rablas superior room and it was worth every penny. Lovely to wake up in the morning and look out on all the action. Room was clean and had everything you needed. Great base of a busy Barcelona holiday.

Right on the Rambles...close to everthing. Rooms looked updated and were very clean. Great value!

Excellent location, nice room(s) and friendly service. Our room was available much earlier that the stated time which enabled us to leave our luggage in the room and begin enjoying Barcellona.

Apart from the location there is not much to the hotel.

Upgraded room was quiet, even though it faced Las Ramblas. Excellent location for tourists-many restaurants,shops, convenience to tourist buses, as well as Aerobus. Would recommend.

This is the perfect hotel to stay in when you visit Barcelona. The hotel staff was courteous and very accommodating. I requested an iron for a dress shirt and it was delivered in 10 minutes. They were very knowledgeable about all of the local attractions and shops and more than willing to help. The location could not be better, right in the middle of the Ramblas. Despite the fact that we were right in the heart of all the action, the hotel windows are well insulated and we had no problem sleeping - during the day or night! If you visit Barcelona, this is your hotel!

Location cannot be beat--right in the heart of Las Ramblas,close to Plaza Catlunya. Was able to have early check-in-it pays to upgrade for Ramblas view;friends did not upgrade and faced a blank wall!

After staying in a hotel that was just one block away from Royal Ramblas, staying here was a blessing. The hotel is situated right on Las Ramblas, just a few steps from the metro and Hard Rock Cafe is one block away. Hotel staff was friendly and most importantly the room was clean> I wish we would have stayed here the whole time we were in Barcelona. The only drawback is that sleeping on the bed was just like sleeping on the hardwood floor. Bed was extremely hard.

After couchsurfing and staying in hostels, a nice hotel at the end of our Europe trip was very much appreciated. The waterfall shower on the royal floor is wonderful. It was a bit strange that our two twins were pushed together to form a queen. No tub. Air conditioned. This is a big plus, especially in the Barcelona summer. No gym, pool, or spa. Its great to people watch from your room at 3am.

room we booked was very small but very comfortable. excellant location - did not make breakfast but staff at hotel reception very nice and efficient.

The location of this hotel was awesome. Right on Las Ramblas strip. Walking distance to Gothic area, beach, tour buses, shopping, restaurants, etc. Our room faced away from the main strip, so was very quiet. Room was very clean, but fairly small (we got the standard room). The bed fit my wife and I OK, but didn't have any trouble sleeping. We peeked into the other upgraded room when it was being cleaned, it was much larger, newer and upgraded. Front desk was very helpful and they all spoke english. Note that Internet access is not free and runs about 10 euro for 24 hours. We would stay here again for sure.

Just step out of the hotel door and the excitement of La Ramblas is right there.

We were very pleased with the room. It was very clean, well furnished, qiet and very roomy in comparison with other european hotels. Our fourth floor room facing Las Ramblas was extremely qiet considering the traffic and bustle of this street.

Fab location , Fab Hotel, beware of the scammers on Las Ramblas who draw you in to a game of - Guess where the dice is under the matchboxes on the floor- It is a scam!!!

Rambla is center of activities. City tour bus right up the street. Dinning and shopping right out front door.

A Fantastic trip which we both realy enjoyed. The hotel was fantastic the staff great we were looked after so well.

Staff very helpful and nice. Great location. Hotel could be improved with new carpets and bedding. Room was very warm and the air conditioner did not work since it was not yet hot enough outside.

We selected this hotel based on a review of all of the comments of hotels in Barcelona. It met all of our expectations. The elevator is a little small which may require multiple trips if you have a lot of luggage, but I felt quite safe in the lobby. The hotel management allowed us to check in when we got there at 10AM which was great as we were going on our cruise the next day. I really liked the fact that Hotels.com sent us a weather report so we knew if would be raining and could pack accordingly. The room overlooked the Ramblas walkway and so there was continuing people walking by at all hours of the day and night. The noise was not a factor. The bed was hard, but after 16 hours on a plane it felt good. The safe was electronic and worked. The staff could speak English and answered all of our questions. They did advise us that the breakfast was extra, but gave us a coupon good for 10% off. We did not eat since we were boarding our ship at noon and would have a lot of "free" food on board. Lots of taxies the next morning to take us to the ship. Bathroom had separate rooms for shower and toliet, with the sink in the open area of the room. Bed was two twins pushed together. Would stay there again. Wish I had thought ahead and spent several days there prior to the Cruise.

The hotel was nice, great location, but our room was really dark. The lighting was very poor, even in the bathroom.

Found the hotel easily from the map, right on the top of "Las Ramblas" and only a short walk from where the airport bus drops you off at "Placa de Catalunya". The staff were very courtious and efficient during check in. i had booked an upgrade room with a view of Las Ramblas and upon entering the room was very impressed by its fixtures and fittings with a very modern style of decoration.The floor also had its own Royal salon where you could sit and drink tea, water etc for free while reading a good selection of magazines.The hotel position is excellent for sightseeing and shopping with everything nearby and all transport only 60 meteres away.Nightime was also very surprising as the double glazing cut out all sound from the street allowing a good nights sleep.Breakfast is taken in an adjoining resteraunt with access via a door in the hotel loby.Breakfasts were buffet style and were more than enough to see you through a day. The staff during my stay were all very friendly and informative for any questions or assistance required.For its location in a very busy city this hotel would be hard to beat and I will certainly use it again for my next stay in Barcelona.

Great location on the Ramblas if you want to be where the action is but shower was terrible. Hot/cold water alternating and room was too warm

Perfect Location, but no Hotel Bar

This hotel has to one of the best placed in the city. It is located on Las Ramblas about 100m from the Placa de Catalunya. Everything you could possibly want is within easy walking distance, shops, bars, restaurants. markets and entertainment. The old port/marina are at he end of Las Ramblas. We stayed in a room overlooking Las Ramblas. It was very modernly decorated with a super kingsize bed - brilliant. The room had very effective double glazing which well kept out the noise of the busy street outside.

Royal Ramblas is a great hotel. we booked a superior room which overlooked the Ramblas strip. the only negative thing about the room was that it had no air conditioning, considering we paid extra for superior room, this was disapointing. we were told we would have to pay 10 euro extra for a room with air-con which isnt a lot but wouldnt have the same view. The room itself was very modern and new-looking and clean. Staff were excellent. Very friendly at all times. Cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful and always smiling. we had a great experience staying at Royal Ramblas and its location is perfect; 100 metres from Placa de Cataylana. it is a stroll to Barcelona Cathedral and Barri Gothic, etc. Overall, highly recommended.

The Hotel is in a very good location and handy for restaurants and shops not too far to walk to the harbour and beach.Rooms were small.The toilet was in one alcove and the shower in another with the wash hand basin in the room itself.The bar was a vending machine.The hotel was clean

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and found the staff excellent and friendly and the service impeccable. We would definitely stay in this hotel again.

The Royal Ramblas is ideally located to explore Barcelona. The staff are friendly and hospitable. The standard room was perfectly adequate for two people. The hotel and rooms were very warm. Ask about room upgrade when you get there a they may have some good deals on. The Breakfast was very good value at 10 Euros and there was plenty of choice. Everything was 200 metres away, underground, tours buses, Gothic Quarter. Las Ramblas was vibrant both during the day and at night. Street artists and performers were very entertaining. Resturants were plentiful and a wide variety. Would recommend this Hotel and will use it next time we go back to Barcelona. P.S. Barcelona itself is a wonderful City and would recommend you visit.

Stayed here on business for a week. Good wireless internet connection. Large room which was good for a one week stay. Located one minute walk from Metro station. Right in the middle of restaurants, pubs, cafes. Good for the price. No hotel bar which if you wanted to relax a bit away from the crowds after work it was difficult. But then the hotel is located in the middle of the crowds, so what do you expect?

Right on the Ramblas, nice hotel, helpful staff. Some of my party said the ground floor restaurant smelled of fish but I didn't try it, there are lots of places right outside and a huge "farmers market" right down the street.

We enjoyed the location of the hotel at the top of the Ramblas, just a few minute from La Boqueria, the Cathedral, and lots of shopping. Our room faced a side street and was very quiet. We had a standard double and there was lots of room. The only strange thing: the TV stations were in English, Italian, French, and Portugese, but none in Catalan or Spanish!

The hotel was in a great location, was nice and clean, but the walls within were paper thin. You could hear every single thing other guests were doing, from them shutting their curtains to talking in their rooms. The walls were SO THIN. Take earplugs with you if you go. Other than that, the hotel was nice and I would stay here again - with my earplugs!

The Royal Ramblas is located right in the heart of Barcelona on Las Ramblas, just south of the major square. We only stayed one night and wish we had been there for more. The check-in was smooth. The room was better than expected. The location was in the middle of the action, though no noise could be heard in the room. Breakfast buffet was available for an additional 10 euros per person and was very good. Checkout was easy and they ensured we had a taxi waiting for us. All in all, a very nice stay in a very nice hotel.

Charming hotel, decor. Our side view was the roof tops of Barcelona (think Picasso)and Tibidabo. Double windows keep the room very quiet, but they do open. Convenient for walking, metro (Catlunya) or taxi. There is a fabulous morning market just down the block. Go there.

The Royal Ramblas is perfectly located for a weekend break. Within Five minutes walk of the Gothic Quarter or the main shopping area, or two minutes walk of the tourist bus stop. The rooms are clean and well furnished and of a high quality. To say the hotel is slap bang in the midddle of where everything happens it is remarkably tranquil as well. We found the staff to be incredibly helpful and polite. The breakfast was also good value especially with some of the special offers they had on at the time. Our one tiny criticism of the hotel would be that there were no tea or coffee making facilities within the room. That aside, all we can say is that when or if, we return to Barcelona we would certainly use this hotel again.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was close to the metro and plenty of shopping. It was very clean and the staff was very polite. Our room faced an alley so we did not hear any noise from La Rambla. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying Barcelona

Excellent location on the Rambla and 1 minute from the nearest metro stop. Plenty of places to eat breakfast. Room was almost Japanese in size but was well furnished and comfortable. For a 2 night business stay I was quite pleased.

Hotel is located on Las Ramblas. It makes easy walking distance to several attractions, i.e Hop on Hop Off Bus. Perfect place to stay if you are there for just one or two nights. Only negative is that you hear the noise from Las Ramblas at night.

Wow. This is where you want to be when in Barcelona. The hotel is located at the top of Las Ramblas and within easy walking distance of the Gothic Qtr, Las Ramblas and the waterfront. The hotel has a double set of windows overlooking Las Ramblas that allows you to open them up to enjoy the street below or close them to shut out all sound from the street.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, and I would recommend it over and over again. The location is perfect, right on Las Ramblas in the heart of the city. Cab fare from BCN was between 20-25 euros, and anywhere from 7-15 euros will get you to most of the major sights. My room was comfortable during both stays, but it was a bit small the 2nd time, which isn't really surprising in Europe. Breakfast was 10 euros, and it was a nice buffet. If your flight leaves late on your checkout day, the hotel does charge you 5 euro to store your luggage, but it was well worth it to us. Bottom line, this is a clean hotel in a perfect location and I highly recommend it.

Central location, modern decor, polite receptionist. Room supplied was not as booked I ordered a smoking room with Queen bed. I got a non smoking room with twin beds and was not offered an opportunity to change. Hotel is listed as **** but there was no porter on duty.

A haven of calm on one of the busiest streets in Europe. Location could not have been better for access to transport and attractions. Room was fine with plenty of space. Staff very friendly but unobtrusive.

We found this hotel to be in a great location, it isin a safe area...well light of a night and always has lots of people around. It is clean, well presented and I would not hesitate to book this Hotel again. The staff speak good Engish and check in/out wa fast.

I staying here for 1 night PreCruise back in August. With my international flight arriving at 8:45am I took the Aerobus into town and got off at the last stop. The Royal Rambles was 5 minute walk from the bus stop (with bags in tow). I was able to check in and they had my room ready at 9:30 am!!! Awesome! I had heard the beds in Europe were a little hard (which is true) but I didn't mind that too much as long as I was able to sleep at night I was fine. LOVE their Body wash in the shower! Smells so good. Room was bigger than I expected too (after hearing room size in Europe can be small). It's a goos size for 2 people (big walk in closet). It's a close walk for the Bus Turistic (Hop On Hop Off Bus) and is on La Rambla. I'll stay here again next time I'm in Barcelona!
