Decent room for the money, but extra charges for internet, access to health club (!), other amenities. Breakfast buffet was way overpriced and mediocre quality.

Was close to everything we wanted to see and the express check in was great.

If you want to push the boat out and have somewhere pleasant to stay, this is the place for you. The Hotel staff were great, the rooms on the 33rd floor have all been refurbished to a high standard and all have good views of the city, minibar, safes, iron + board, Tea/coffee perculator and flat screen TV's with cable. The conceirge service was fantastic, providing free entry coupons to comedy shows and advice on local dining locations. They even have a selection of cellphone chargers if needed! Couldnt fault this hotel one bit.

As a family of 3 we had spent 2 glorious weeks exploring New York State and Boston Mass. This was our first trip to America and we are very impressed by the friendly people, the "awesome" sights Niagara and the Adirondacks to name but 2) So we needed to end on a high. This we did from the moment we booked in to the Hilton on 6th Ave. Friendly service, happy domestic staff very helpful concierge and above all splendid comfort and view from the 23rd floor!!! highly reocommended we will return

The Hilton is in a great location, but was completely packed with tourists. For less money you can get a room equally as nice at another hotel but with not so much chaos. The hotel does have great security at night and is very well kept though.

Hilton NY has an appealing entrance, but as soon as you enter you get the feeling of entering Wal-Mart. You have to stand in line order to check in and the staff is not as serviceminded you would expect from a pretty pricey hotel. The interior i.e elevators, corriodors and the rooms need some improvement. Overall judgement: perfect location and nice entrance but except from that few other positive things to say about the hotel.

The location was superb! The concierge very helpful. The room was a decent size with OK amenities. The downside, no fan in the bathroom, and the room had not been thoroughly cleaned x 2. Used coffee cups, dirty washcloth.

conveniantly located...fair pricing, great service.had a problem with the tv, the response time was within minutes

this hotel is over priced with no amenities unless u pay extra, our food and my grand children milk and other things spoiled because the refrigerator was locked and after i checked out they went ahead and charged me for using a locked refrigertor and parking which they know that u have to pay for ur parking outside when u pick up ur car. this hotel is big ripp off. i guess we payed for the name

The Hilton was the perfect location for our weekend. Time Square/Broadway, Central Park are all in walking distance & the subway is very close to the hotel. The hotel was clean and well maintained.

When we arrived at the hotel our room wasn't ready, however, to accomodate us they upgraded the room. Excellent room, great location and service.

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the double room; it was normal hotel size which is large for NY. I was also very happy with the amount of street noise that I could hear in the room; none!

One of New York's finest flagships, this property is exceptional for it's locale, it's entire staff from the department managers to the housekeeping whom all seem to have smiles on their faces, a very obvious 'yes i can' attitude, and are true professionals no matter what is asked of them. The hotel is consistenly immaculate and always feels news, the eateries and bars have good vibes and great food, transportation is readily available outside the covered portico on a 24/7 basis and, most importantly, you always feel you are in a safe and friendly environment at 3a.m. or noon. my husband and i have choosen to stay at this property almost always when in new york city for business, doctor appts., visits or just for the night out on the town and all for the above reasons. Did i mention the shopping..? dont get me started. What can I say, I'm in love with this Hilton and, just for the record, I was in the hotel business, front office manager in Miami Beach, Fl. for over ten years. I know what deserves praise and this establishment deserves my praise and my hotel bucks.

I stayed on 22nd floor and save for some street noise was very happy with my room; the hotel's location, the room size, staff and overall experience. I can't remember what I paid but I know it was a very competitive price and I would stay again.

VERY COMFORTABLE CLEAN AND GREAT PROFFESSIONAL STAFF

When we arrived, we were informed that they had given our room away, so instead of 2 queen beds, we were given a room with one king bed. My husband and I were traveling with my son, so this was a problem. They said the sofa folded out, would we like someone to come and make up the bed? We said sure, so we dropped off our bags and walked around for over an hour. When we came back to the room, the sofa bed was not made up. We unfolded the beds ourselves and found the bed to be broken and unusable....and it wouldn't fold back together. Many calls to the front desk later, someone arrived with a roll-away bed and with my son helping, they were able to get the sofa back together. They asked if we'd like the broken sofa removed so we'd have floor space (yes!) but were then told that it would be a couple hours before that could happen. It was now 2am and we just wanted to sleep. My son is 6'3", so the roll-away bed was very uncomfortable and we had to crawl over each other to get around the room. The broken sofa was never removed the whole weekend. At breakfast, my son waited in line for 15 minutes to get an omlette and when he got back to the table he found that he was given the wrong one. Rather than wait in line again, we just left.

This was our first visit to NYC. The Hilton exceeded out expectations. The location is ideal and you can walk to many areas of interest. We arrived in early evening and did not have to wait to check in. We were upgraded to a king size bed and room. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on! The room was spacious with a large desk and couch. The bathroom was smaller than one would expect in a luxury hotel but was very nice. The bathroom did not have a tub but had a very large shower with marble and glass. The size of the bathroom was fine for 2 people. The staff was friendly and helpful and met all our needs. The checkout process was very easy. We did not eat in any of the hotel restaurants. Everything is expensive in NYC but the price we paid was a very good value, we couldn't have been more satisfied with our stay at the Hilton. I would recommend it highly.

We have stayed in the hotel before and like the location and amenitites. The only drawback is that I will never again take their offer of a key for the mini-bar. It was already ajar when we arrived and my husband opened a small (4 oz?) bag of peanuts and our bill was charged $20.

This was our first trip to NYC. The Hilton is in a great location to see the city. It is close to most everything, we walked to a great many sites. The room was clean, large and quiet (21st floor). We were upgraded to a king size bed which was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The bathroom was smaller than you would expect for such a nice room but was fine for 2 people. There was a large desk and sofa that was great for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. It did not have a tub, but had a great shower. We did not eat in the hotel as we wanted to experience what the city had to offer. The staff were friendly and informative. Overall, our experience in NYC was great and I would highly recommend the Hilton to anyone.

Considering that this is NY the rooms were very large and comfortable.

We loved the Hilton NY. We were there for just one night with our two young children, and the location was perfect for getting around to the different parts of the city. The staff was friendly and helpful, even giving us a higher floor room when we asked. The kids were thrilled to be up so high! The decor and bedding were stylish, and everthing more than met our expectations. I would book us there again.

Clean, friendly staff, nice hotel. My only complaints would be that the health club in the hotel costs $15.00. For a four star hotel to charge for a gym seems unprofessional. Also the toilet seat fell down when I was using the bathroom in the middle of the night and woke everyone up. A four star hotel should be able to figure out how to keep the seat up.

We were staying in New York for a quick weekend stay and the Hilton New York was the perfect choice. We had a great rate, the location could not have been better and we had a GREAT view straight up Central park from our room. As we were sight-seeing the whole weekend, we really didn't use any of the amenities or restaurants in the hotel, but our room was great. We had a corner room, so it was a little bigger than standard which was great as we have two kids. Short blocks away from Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Central Park, you name it. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and will check it out when we return to NYC again.

Good location, excellent price. Good quality. Didn't get the king size bed, instead we were offered a 2 double bed room with an extra bed which turned out to be better than the king size bed with the sleeper i paid for. Really clean.

The check-in and check-out process at this hotel was extremely slow. At times there was only one person checking-in guests which, for a major hotel in mid-town Manhattan, is hard to understand. Overall, my stay at the hotel met all my expectations but the slow check-in process was disappointing.

The hotel was very nice and the staff was very quick to respond to our needs and always friendly and courteous. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The only thing that surprised us was the price to park at the adjacent parking lot.

Enjoyed our stay, easy access to everything we were in NY for. Great attention to detail by every staff person we encountered. Only hassle was trying to get into the parking garage - waited in a long line on the street before we finally got in. We have stayed here before and would stay here again.

Was expecting more from a Hilton hotel. On the positive side I managed to get a small room for USD170 / night for 6 nights (prepaid and no breakfast). On the negative: - Very noisy at night (room not well sound proofed). Was on the 23rd floor yet the noise from the street below was terrible. Every morning at 3 am there was street cleaning and other activities - Hotel was a bit grotty and run down in places, especially my room with grubby wallpaper, old pillows and grubby carpets - Staff generally unfriendly and the guy that trys to sell the 'free gift' 3 days 2 nights USD120/night was awful. - Leaves a sour taste when you have to pay extra for the gym and to leave luggage after checkout - Concierge staff not helpful (a french lady). Seems too busy to offer help proactively
