Best Western Premier Hotel Majestic Plaza - Praha

The hotel is art deco and impressive. The nearest metro stations are Mustek and Wuseum, at opposite ends of Wenceslas square, which makes it convenient for all tourist attractions. We had room 6 on the first floor, which was small but well appointed. There was some intrusive noise from a disco at night, but not enough to disturb sleep. The lobby bar is quite expensive for Prague, but all the staff I met were pleasant and helpful. The buffet breakfast is excellent, with the usual variety of cold fare and also eggs, bacon mushrooms etc, but in continental style; if you are expecting the full English you will be disappointed, but the quality and quantity of what is offered cannot be faulted. I cannot vouch for the restaurant or cocktail bar. There is a small bistro next door which is well worth going to if you are fed up with dumplings! Not too expensive either. All in all - if you book here you will not be disappointed, unless you were born to complain

As you enter the foyer of this hotel you walk into a long gone Art Deco style which is a wonderful first impression The reception staff were courtious and efficient and presented us with a map of Prague when we checked in showing us exactly the location of the hotel which I thought was most helpful They also directed us to the main sights to be seen on the map The bedrooms have these enormous high doors which are wonderful and unique our bedroom a twin room on the first floor had a beautiful high ceiling which is most unusual in most hotels these days The bathroom was spotless Towels were changed daily and the mini bar was well stocked with minerals drinks and sweets The beds were very comfortable and we almost forgot we were staying in a hotel as they were like beds you have in your own home Breakfast was served each morning between seven and eleven which was great as it meant you didn't have to be up at the crack of dawn Lovely selection of breads pastries fresh fruits yogurts cheeses cold meats and a hot buffet was also laid on You could help yourself to as much tea and coffee or various juices as you wanted I would definitely recommend this hotel It has a great location lovely bedrooms great breakfasts and also it was excellent value for money

1st day we arrived to find our room double booked for a conference, but they offered to taxi us to a 5* hotel (20 metres down the road!) and gave us a bottle of wine for our trouble. Back in the Majestic, we had a very nice room with balcony overlooking the castle. Faultless staff - they even sent us a waiter to open and pour our wine in our room. Great location in the New Town area with many shops and restaurants close by. 10 minutes walk from the river.

Me and my boyfriend booked a superior room which was very clean and the bathroom was nice but the actual room was quite small. The location of the hotel was great and everything was within minutes of walking distance.

The staff at this hotel went out of their way to help us, it was clean, friendly and central to everything.

Very good location. Breakfast was very good. Hotel personal were very helpfull. Room was very small, hard to get arround. Shower needs improvement, can,t shower without water gets all over the bath. For a short stay is great.

Good city centre but quiet location. Great views from 7th floor rooms. Breakfast a little dissapointing but plenty of choice.

The Art Deco style is interesting but would not suit all. While the staff were alert and approachable, simple requests such as to provide English teabags proved impossible although they were evident in breakfast. Desk staff spoke good English and all staff had some knowledge of the language. The room was reasonable, clean although not that spacious. The shower was good. The mirror was a bit high in the bathroom. Maid service was fine and prompt. We ate only breakfast there. It was not brilliant either in terms of food or space. We had a balcony but most rooms did not. The air con was efficient if a bit noisy. Room keys were touch pad rather than the usual slot entry.

This hotel is a couple minutes walk from Wenceslas Square so it's convenient if you plan to be out there late at night. If you're active like I am, then walking the 15-20 minutes to Old Town Square is also pretty easy. If you're not active, then you may not find this hotel's location as convenient. Hotel reception was easy to work with and spoke good English. The breakfast buffet was also good to get you going. My room had a slanted ceiling and low showerhead so I had to look out not to hit my head. But my room had internet included in the room price -- logging on was easy! The restaurant served really good food. The hotel also had a driver available to take me to the airport on no notice, which I liked. Overall, a good hotel experience, particularly for the price I paid.

The hotel was close enough that we could walk to everything. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast each morning was wonderful. I would recomend this hotel to anyone.

We had no fault with this hotel. The staff were very friendly. The reception staff were very helpful with tourist information, directions, hiring a hotel car (with driver) for trips etc. The only difficulty was at breakfast on Sunday morning at 9.15am when the breakfast room was too full and people had to wait for tables. No problem though on Monday or Tuesday morning. The room, beds etc were very comfortable.

The hotel is excellent, clean and great position, easy and short walks to the square, old town, charles bridge, the Prague castle. Breakfast was varied, and plentiful and a lovely dining area. The Havanna club is very nice but quiet (maybe the music needs to suit all ages better) during our stay in the middle of the week. the room we stayed in the fourth floor was quiet and very comfartabel and very clean, BUT the carpet is a bit grubby (it does need to be either cleaned or replaced), the sink in the shower room is very small and hard to wash your face in it, however it is very clean. The insulation (as in other hotels we stayed in Europe) is not fully soundproof. However, these negatives have not affected our stay at all and we felt that we had made the perfect choice of hotel and position. The restuarant and the drinks in the hotel are not badly priced (if you compare them with UK hotels). The staff od the hotel are very professional and helpful. No problem to communicate with only your english, they all speak it OK. Prague has unlimted number of cafes, bars, restuarants and of course hotels, so you are not short of any choice at all. Best restuarants are between Winceslase square and the old town and sorroundings, in particular Phenix restuarant which has excellent food and reasonable prices and very very tasty (it is off Winceles square twowards the old town (Na pifoatka street, I think). We heartly recommend this hotel to everyone and Prague as a pretty city.

The lobby could be made more attractive for visitors / guests

This hotel was clean, comfortable, and well situated for a visit to Prague. It is one block off Wencelas square, and a few blocks from one of the major metro stations, so you have immediate access to 2 lines. But the city is small enough to walk almost anywhere on foot, and this hotel is quite close to all the major attractions (but the metro is nice to have in the cold!). The hotel had every convenience necessary: great buffet breakfast, internet access, maps at the front desk, and an English speaking staff. Also, my favorite touch, there was a teapot in the room with a selection of teas and coffees - perfect after a cold day of sightseeing! The staff was very friendly and accomodating and despite the size of the hotel and it's proximity to Wencelas Square, it was very quiet at night for a good night's sleep!

A very good hotel, advised for young people as well as the elderly! Very impressive havana club bar joint on to this very modern, warming hotel. the havana club is great for cocktail lovers! situated just off wenceslas square, a perfect location really.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting somewhere comfortable and central. the room was cosy and clean with a fantastic view of Prague Castle (we were in 424), Wencesles Square was just 2 minutes walk away there was a lot of choice at breakfast (served 6-11am) and the staff were wonderfully helpful. Naturally as a large chain its not 'authentic Prague' but it's a small price to pay for the comfort.

excellent choice of hotel. very clean and modern with fantastic service.Inhouse nightclub was handy for late drink although not many people there on our 2 nights. we walked everywhere from this base with ease. nearby irish bar was good place for food and drink. you must also try the italian restaurant at wencelas square. would def. stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Majestic Plaza for 3 nights in Oct and after reading some of the reviews I was a little nervous about arriving at this hotel but I need not have been. We had booked a deluxe room which previous guessed were told did not exist but there was no problem with our booking, the porter took our luggage straight to our room which was spacious, comfortable and had great views of Prague castle. There was a mini bar in the room and much to our surprise the prices were very reasonable. The hotel staff were very friendly and offered to help in anyway they could, nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast offered a good selection, the restaurants were good, again very reasonable priced and the lobby bar gave you a great view of life on a busy street in Prague. The hotel has a sauna and whirlpool which you can book for private use in for 1 hour slots. The location of the hotel was perfect, 5mins walk and you were in Wenceslas square another 2mins and you were in the old town. There were a couple of things I was pleasantly surprised by that had not been mentioned on any of the websites advertising the hotel: the hotel has roof terrace that you can call the lobby bar from and have drink brought up, and the hotel has several cars and drivers on hand to take you to your requested destination without having to paying much more than you would for a local taxi. All round a great stay and will definitely stay here again when we return to Prague.

As above, staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. Staff were not rushing to get people out of the breakfast room.

Good location close to Wenslaslas Square but I do prefer the Old Town area and Lerrer Town near Charles Bridge. Room was clean and bathroom lovely. We had upgraded to delux on 5th floor with own balcony. Reception not overly helpful and no one would replace our tea/coffee stuff. Maid said it was receptions job. They blamed housekeeping! Comfortable huge bed but with two seperate quilts! As for the advertised spa/sauna. There was a health club somewhere with a 10 Euro fee! Would I stay again or recommend? Probably not.

Relatively small rooms, and the service was average, but the location was pretty good... close to Wenceslas Square.

Små rum men renoverat nyligen med mycket modernt och rent badrum. Mörkt rum då fönstret var mot innergård, där det var lyhört. Otroligt sköna sängar. Frukost mycket och bra service. Tar gärna och bokar samma hotell om jag återkommer

Hotell med meget bra service og dyktige medarbeidere. Store fine rom med aircondition og et nydelig flislagt bad. Romservice med mulighet for å bestille mat fra et bra utvalg retter på menyen.

Sentralt hotell med gangavstand til det meste i Praha. Hadde flott rom i toppetasjen med ypperlig utsikt mot Praha-borgen. Mat og service var og helt topp! Anbefales på det sterkeste!

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights. We were generally not very impressed with the standard compared to the price. The room was small, had a view to the backyard and the air condition didn't work the first 2 nights. Lobby and reception is not very comfortable.

We spent 3 nights there from Thursday till Sunday. Though our room was quite small, but nice and clean. Bathroom was even nicer. The strongest point is the lobby area with its fantastic interior.

Jeg er meget fornøyd med mitt opphold på Best Western Majestic Hotel Plaza. Betjeningen er hyggelig og serviceminded og snakker godt engelsk. Ikke fullt så fornøyd med stuepikene som ikke skiftet ut kaffekoppene på rommet. Vi hadde rom i 5. etg. hvor solen fikk godt tak og det var svært varmt på rommet da vi kom hjem på kvelden. Air.conditionen virket, men kunne kanskje trengt en service?. Det var litt støy fra nattklubben og gatelivet på nattestid, men ikke veldig mye. Ypperlig frokost. Alt i alt er jeg som sagt meget godt fornøyd med mitt opphold på hotellet.

Rommet svarte ikke helt til våre forventninger fordi vi valgte å betale ekstra for deluxe rom og det viste seg at superior room var helt likt. Dette sa vi fra om og fikk da bytte til top floor med litt bedre utsikt. Ellers var frokosten veldig god og varte helt til kl elleve. beliggenheten er også sentral.

Inget märkvärdigt, men absolut inget att klaga på. Man får precis det man behöver och rummet var bra! Städaren kollar flera gånger per dag så om du råkar sova första gången så missar du inte städningen. Helt ok frukost och en snobbig resturang med överkomliga priser finns. Nära huvudgatan är ett plus, men i efterhand hade jag istället valt att bo nära Old Town.

Frukosten kunde ha varit bättre - pålägg osv var ofta slut och tog tid innan det fylldes på. Det fanns en del att välja på - så allt det är ok. Frukostkakorna - trevligt att det fanns MEN de var alltid torra. Då kan man hellre låta bli att servera detta. Trevlig personal

Hotellet har en perfekt placering med många resturanger runt hörnt och gång avstånd till allt. Dock lite trångt i frukost matsalen

Flotte nyoppussede og rene rom. Flott frokost med varme rundstykker, egg, bacon, pølser, frukt, kaker, juice m.m. Noen hundre meter til W.square. God service. Vel verdt pengene. Jeg sendte mail til hotellet etter bestilling og ba om å få rolige rom med badekar. Alt innfridde forventningene. :-)

Hotellet ligger rimeligt centralt go er derfor goft til tourister som skal opleve Prag. Flot indretning af hotellet og en masse personale der er til for dig. Morgenmaden kan fåes bedre og der er ingen elevatorfører som der ellers står. Kan anbefales til en ordentlig pris.

Ett riktigt fint hotell med ett perfekt läge i Prag. Redan när man kommer in möts man av trevlig personal som hjälper dig med väskor, efter att du checkat-in får du hjälp att hitta till rummet. Toaletten är fräsch, sängen riktigt skön. I lobbyn finns en trevlig bar där du kan köpa det mesta. Läget är som sagt helt perfekt och är det första gången du besöker Prag kan du använda Stepanska som utgångspunkt när Du planerar dina dagsturer.

Snygga rena fräscha rum. Gångavstånd till allt i Prag. Ligger bara 10 min promenad från gamla stan

Hotelfrukosten va underbar, stort utbud. Mycket sötsaker som man inte hittar på svenska hotel, bla munkar å rulltårta. Fin liten hotelbar med en trevlig liten gubbe i som tom hjälpte oss att öppna vinaren vi köpt i butiken som låg vägg i vägg.

Centrale 50m e sei in piazza Venceslao, considerando che il centro di Praga lo giri a piedi .. sei a cavallo. Garage a pagamento circa 15€ al giorno comunque è comodo lasciare la macchina senza pensieri per me vale la spesa.

Vi trodde vi hadde kommet feil. Hotellet var mye finere enn hva vi forventet i forhold til prisen. Ligger veldig sentralt. Gangavstand til gamlebyen, men likevel en stille og rolig gate. Hotellet og rommet var nylig renovert. Pent og velholdt. Rommet og badet var passelig stort og veldig fint. God frokost inkludert. Hotellest egne sjåfører er et godt alternativ til taxi.

Prima bedden, lekkere douche, goed ontbijt. Centraal gelegen, en ook nog de metro om de hoek.

Hotellet ligger ca. 200 meter fra mange af Prags atraktioner. Hotellet var pænt, rent, og servicen var i orden. Personalet hjælpsomme. Så alt i alt, et godt hotel, der er værd at besøge.

God standard, hyggelig betjening, godt renhold, det eneste å sette fingeren på er at det er liten variasjon i frokosten. Blir ensformig etter en uke. savner mere hele frukter på bordet, savner også syltetøy. ellers ok. Spurte om ekstra pute men fikk det ikke.

Et meget godt hotell, sentral og godt plassert bare 200 m fra hovedgaten. Praha er en by for fotturer, og fra hotellet kunne vi gå så å si overalt. Trikk også rett i nærheten, de gangene det var nødvendig.

Vi var heldige og fikk suite, som var utmerket.
